Division 01 · GIS Mappers

Survey & Mapping Services

Ten field-proven disciplines under one accountable team — land, marine, drone, scanning, GIS and utility survey, with engineering-grade accuracy documented from the control network to the final deliverable.

Why commission GIS Mappers

Accuracy you can put in front of an engineer.

/ Accuracy

Defensible accuracy

Documented datums, redundant control and calibrated instruments on every dataset. In plain terms: accuracy statements an engineer can sign off.

/ Turnaround

Faster turnaround

Our own processing software links field capture directly to the deliverable — removing the manual steps that add days and introduce transcription error.

/ Deliverables

Ready-to-use data

DWG, DGN, GIS layers, DTMs and 3D models supplied in the formats your team opens directly — no conversion or rework on receipt.

/ Standards

Standards-led

Hydrography aligned to IHO S-44, utility survey aligned to PAS 128, and documented QA/QC on every deliverable that leaves the office.

Choose the discipline your project needs.

Every service below is delivered with calibrated equipment, documented control and CAD/GIS deliverables ready for engineering use.

01

Land & Topographic Survey

RTK GNSS + total stationDocumented controlUK · Oman · KSA

Ground control networks, digital terrain models and boundary surveys with documented datums and closed traverses — the base layer every design decision rests on.

02

Bathymetric & Hydrographic Survey

IHO S-44-alignedProven: Sohar · Duqm · Khasab

Single-beam and multibeam seabed mapping aligned to IHO S-44 for ports, dredging, intakes and coastal works — with tide, bar-check and sound-velocity corrections on record.

03

Drone / UAV Mapping

RTK / PPK flight controlCheckpoint-verified

RTK aerial mapping, orthomosaics, photogrammetric models and corridor LiDAR — ground-truthed against surveyed checkpoints, not assumed accuracy.

04

GIS Mapping & Spatial Data

Web-GIS dashboardsUtility & asset registers

Geodatabase design, spatial analytics and web-GIS dashboards that keep every asset queryable — from a single site to a national utility network.

05

3D Laser Scanning

Scan-to-BIMAs-built verification

High-density terrestrial and mobile point clouds for as-built verification, BIM and digital twins — registered, classified and delivered in your CAD or BIM format.

06

Utility / GPR Survey

PAS 128-alignedGPR + EML detection

Underground utility detection and mapping aligned to PAS 128, combining ground-penetrating radar with electromagnetic location — so excavation and design proceed clash-free.

07

Engineering & Construction Survey

Setting-out controlAs-built records

Setting-out, control maintenance and as-built verification on live construction programmes — with survey records that stand up at handover.

08

Marine & Coastal Survey

ADCP · metoceanGeophysical

Metocean, ADCP current profiling, geophysical and coastal-zone surveys supporting marine infrastructure design, consenting and operations.

09

Monitoring & Deformation Survey

Precision instrumentationTrigger-level reporting

Structural and settlement monitoring with precision instrumentation and scheduled observation epochs — movement reported against agreed trigger levels.

10

CAD & Digital Deliverables

DWG · DGN · SHPTo your CAD standard

DWG, DGN, GIS layers, DTMs and intelligent 3D models produced to your drawing standard — ready for design, records or asset systems.

Proven in the field

A record, not a promise.

/ Track record

600+ projects delivered

Across land, marine, drone, scanning and GIS programmes in the UK, Oman and Saudi Arabia — most of it repeat business.

/ Ports

Sohar · Duqm · Khasab · Seeb

Port and coastal survey experience including seawater intake monitoring, dredging works and harbour development.

/ Clients

Consultancies to authorities

Clients include Atkins, Majis Industrial Services & Veolia and government authorities across three regions.

How we deliver
STEP / 01

Consult & scope

Objectives, accuracy, datums and deliverables defined with your team before mobilisation.

STEP / 02

Acquire

Calibrated land, marine, drone or scanning survey with live QA checks in the field.

STEP / 03

Process & model

Our own software builds surfaces, contours, volumes and intelligent models — fast.

STEP / 04

Deliver & support

Audited CAD/GIS deliverables plus training and support that outlasts the project.

Common questions

Asked before most surveys.

Which IHO S-44 order do you survey to?

We plan each hydrographic survey against the IHO S-44 order the project requires — typically Order 1a or 1b for ports, dredging and coastal engineering, and Special Order where under-keel clearance is critical. The order, the achieved uncertainties and the check-line statistics are documented in the survey report. In plain terms: you receive evidence of the accuracy, not just a claim.

Single-beam or multibeam — which do I need?

Single-beam echo sounding is efficient and economical for section-based work such as dredging progress, intake monitoring and routine condition surveys. Multibeam gives full seafloor coverage and is the right choice for navigation charting, engineering design and object detection. We advise on the appropriate method — and its S-44 implications — at scoping stage, before any vessel mobilises.

Can you work in the UK and the Gulf on one contract?

Yes. We operate from bases in the UK, Oman and Saudi Arabia and regularly deliver multi-region programmes under a single contract. The methodology, QA/QC chain and reporting format are the same at every site, so datasets from different regions remain directly comparable.

What deliverable formats do you provide?

Standard deliverables include DWG/DXF and DGN drawings, GIS layers (SHP, GeoJSON or geodatabase), DTM/DSM surfaces, LandXML, point clouds (LAS/LAZ) and PDF report sets. Layer naming and drawing standards are matched to your CAD environment, so files open ready to use rather than needing rework on receipt.
